I was born and raised in Pierre, SD, I'm deeply rooted in this community and proud to provide women's health and homebirth services to my hometown and the surrounding area.
Faith and family is at the heart of everything I do. Alongside my husband Caleb, we are raising our five energetic children, supported by the love of our extended family, friends, and church family.
As a midwife, I'm passionate about delivering personalized care tailored to each woman's unique needs and aspirations. The midwifery model walks with women as they actively participate in their healthcare journey, fostering a supportive environment where preferences and goals are honored.
My journey into midwifery was shaped by experiences as a nurse in both hospital and outpatient clinic women's health settings. After graduating from South Dakota State University in 2015, I jumped right into the birth world as a labor and delivery nurse back in my hometown. I was able to accompany women through moments of excitement and vulnerability. One of the obgyn doctors later asked me to assist him as an outpatient women's health nurse, which gave me the opportunity to see women throughout their lifespan. I loved both the inpatient and outpatient settings and looked into furthering my education. I learned about the midwifery model and instantly knew that was what I was meant to do.
I graduated from Frontier Nursing University in the Fall of 2023. Shortly after, my friend and mentor, Tammi Chaney at Dakota Midwifery and Women's Health, allowed me to assist and glean some of her wisdom. South Dakota midwives and many other providers have a supportive network, collaborating to elevate women's health across the state.
I'm profoundly grateful for the opportunity to live this dream every day – serving remarkable women and their families. I look forward to connecting with you.
